Our Care
West Park Care Complex
Brain Injury Care
The impact of an acquired brain injury can be long-lasting, and in some cases permanent. Unlike many other injuries, the brain does not simply heal with time. While recovery and rehabilitation are possible, people with severe brain injuries often face significant life changes that require them to adapt in many areas. Supporting individuals and their families as they navigate these long-term effects is a vital part of rehabilitation and ongoing care that we provide at West Park Care Complex.
Support During Rehabilitation and Beyond
A serious head injury can lead to a wide range of physical, emotional, behavioural, and cognitive needs. Brain injuries vary greatly in their form, cause, and severity.
We provide tailored care and support for people with acquired brain injuries, including but not limited to:
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
- Encephalitis
- Tumours
- Hydrocephalus
- Haemorrhage
- Hypoxia/Anoxia
- Stroke
